When the Union Pacific Depot celebrated its grand opening on October 30, 1917, the Concordia Blade-Empire proclaimed that "...the new station here is all complete...with benches made of oak...likened to those at Union Station in Kansas City.  The Ladies Waiting Room is made more comfortable than usual with the addition of three wicker rocking chairs...and 120 electric lights concealed about the walls..."

Now is the time to return the Ladies Waiting Room to her 1917 splendor, and in so doing, benefactors will be taking their place in history.
