Virtual Tour of Morgan-Dowell Research Center
The entranceway features two
stained-glass art pieces.  The artist
is Robin Isaacson from Concordia,
Kansas.  They were donated by
Bobby & Wanda Morgan in memory
of Darrell Dowell, and Robin
Isaacson and her husband John.
The Wright-Peck Research Room features a small library of books related to information on
the Orphans Trains, New York City, genealogical research, and more.  This room can be
used to perform research on a particular Orphan Train Rider, or as a meeting space.
The gift shop has a variety of books on the Orphan
Trains, NOTC and OTHSA items, and local artist Ines
Dejmal products. For a complete list of books for sale
The Research Center also holds the archives for the Complex,
including over 8,000 files on individual Orphan Trains Riders
(which include stories, photos, and documents), the Anna Laura
Hill photograph and document collection, the records for the
American Female Guardian Society (which ran the Home for the
Friendless and the Five Points House of Industry), and much
more.
The Morgan-Dowell Research Center holds the archives for the Orphan Train
Heritage Society of America, and has a research room and gift shop.
