Orphan Train Riders - Their Own Stories
Instructor:
Hand out a story to each of your students.  Different lengths of stories to accommodate those students with various levels of reading
skills.  
Orphan Train Rider stories can be found on this website or by purchasing one of the five volumes put out by the Orphan Train
Heritage Society of America from our
bookstore.  Call 785-243-4471 for more information or to order.  
Objectives:

Student questions about your Orphan Train Story:

1. What was the name(s) of your orphan?  Your orphan may have a birth name, a foster or adopted name, and
maybe a married name.  Give all names given to them in your story.
