Mary T. Allendorf -
May is an Orphan Train Rider who speaks to church groups, school children,
clubs and various societies. She was interviewed by ABC-TV in Oct. 1996 for a
segment on Good Morning America, Sunday.

Shirley Howenstine -
Shirley has given presentations on the Orphan Trains to the Fort Dearborn
Chapter of the DAR in Evanston, IL.; American Legion in Glenview, IL;
genealogical societies in Wauconda and Highland Park, IL, and at Friendship
Village in Schaumburg, IL. She and her husband, Richard, promote Orphan
Train Rider Reunions in Illinois.

Mary McLain -
Mary is a former newspaper 'staffer' and daughter of an Orphan Train Rider. She
has spoken in both Iowa and Arizona on the Orphan Trains to church groups,
women's clubs and schools. She has been a featured speaker at RV Parks where
attendance has exceeded 100 each time.

Frances P. Newton -
Frances has given talks in the retirement community where she lives near San
Diego, CA. She has spurred a great deal of interest in the Orphan Train Riders'
stories and a copy of the video

Peggy Toffier Pounder -
Peggy is the daughter of an Orphan Train Rider, and has spoken to school
classes, senior citizen groups and the Arkansas Action for Foster Children,
among others.

For over 7 years, Bob has given talks to a large number of groups including
Kiwanis, Rotary, Lion's, college & prep schools, academies and grade schools,

Doris Glade Vogel -
Doris began giving programs on the Orphan Trains in 1984 to genealogical &
historical societies, Senior Citizens Centers, Rotary Clubs & Lion's Clubs in four
different counties in Illinois.

Patricia Young -
Patricia began speaking about the Orphan Trains several years ago in her
native state of Nebraska at the annual Callaway Hospital Ball with
approximately 250 interested persons in the audience. She now speaks to
community organizations in the Bella Vista area. Co-author of Tears on Paper,
she continues to interview and research the lives of the Orphan Train Riders.

Pat Waldron -
Pat frequently tells the "Orphan Train Story" in the Butte County, California,
area to church and civic groups. She tells of the work of the Children's Aid
Society and the Orphan Train Heritage Society of America in bringing the
Riders together and helping the descendants find their ancestors and living
relatives.
